Mission 4, October 2011 Operation Les Cayes

Mission Team: Hirsch, Lovelace, Hibbert, Atwell, Bertolini, Jasper

Objectives: In addition to returning to Les Cayes, we rendered clinical care to the mountain village of Gigot, as well as the village of Caille Coq, on Ile a Vache. Working to expand our reach, we continued to create and build relationships with physicians both locally and in remote areas, working to establish a basic First Responder/EMS course for rural community members. Along with medications and supplies, we provided the hospital with nebulizer equipment, and the area’s first cardiac monitor and defibrillator.
